milky way (fireworks) version

two posts in the same week I know hard to believe !! but I have to work the next 7

so these are the large stars from my fireworks quilt by fig tree the pattern is rather cryptic and if you have never done any stars like this ... I have not !there might be a little ripping involved  when the seams don't match up just sayin

I emailed them if there is a trick and got no reply 

anyhoo ill trudge on

they are 19 1/2

I have 2 medium stars and 6 small stars to put together they are not that hard after you get a couple done not sure how much trouble ill have with the small ones

 

this is how far I have gotten with my log cabin blocks
well that's it for today and no I still have not got the binding on summer in the park but is is next to my machine and I have thread in it

schedule for the rest of the month

good morning I got my run in I

am planning on another turtle crawl in sept that we do on eloise birthday

I got a start on her birthday cake by calling a local bakery in Melbourne beach sueanns more on that next month

 

 

these are some of the star points for my fireworks quilt and im going to start a Dresden patriotic quilt in case I keep this one lol!

 

I have got to get the binding on summer in the park

im going to start the quilting on my modern mylee

the back

and im going to sandwich the 2 toppers from above

 

here is the next quilt I am doing for the hubs picked up the rest of the fabric at joanns sunday

 

122 hst for the toppers on the bedroom dressers im going to arrange them all differently

thank god for pinterest

and im still adding to my little log cabin fall quilt on row 8

the strips are made from a honey bun harvest moon and some yardage fro walmart that I had so im thinking ill have 20 strips all round when finished

its going to be in the barn raising setting with pumpkin and acorn applique in the lights

well  I have to get going to work traded half day today with somebody so im planning on sewing tonight

Capri daisies finished

love that scrunched up look I used quilters dream cotton batting robinson anton thread and I machine sewed the binding and I have to say im getting better I just need to slow down

this was the last thing my washer washed today and it went crazy but I couldn't leave it alone when the door unlocked and I could get out my laundry happy

this morning I tried it again (laundry ocd ) it drained and spun like a champ the last 2 min it started beeping again and I could not shut it off to unlock it again now its holding my sheets captive and I cant get a date for repair until tomarrow NOWAY  BAD WORD HERE >

 

 

so did I mention today is my birthday im going to scrub the bathroom floor to get my mind off it and I made my fav cake
