randomness this week

just a few random things nothing finished to post

I since emailing a couple quilty bloggers have decided to invest in all the same brand of ruler I chose creative grids they have non slip pads already in them

sorry upside down but I think you get it

while picking up the rulers I ordered I also got a new pattern and gadget

 

I am quilting the 9patches on sleeping snowmen I don't want spend a lot of time on this one its not a big project anyway

and this is the fabric I chose for the dwr quilt binding

I think it is fun

I have 78 of these arcs done and sewn to the center football shape for my other dwr I think I need 216

I am on row 6 of the log cabin fall quilt

modern mylee done

I did get a couple things done this week my fireworks quilt done and pressed more on that later I cant find a good place to take pics

I did not get 2 more blocks crewel world but it is on my list this week no biggie

I did however get modern mylee baby quilt finished and bound here it is

 

 



I was

 a little nervous about the border scared actually I have never done this type before so I basted down the edge and jumped in it turned out great no ripples dimples or things that go bump

I will get some better shots later this week

 

I also made a little scrap table topper for outside

this is whats going under the quilt machine this week got a lot of  S-I-D done Thursday slow Boring

but it has to be done if I plan to quilt it myself

a little quiltiness

here is the quilting from the back

 a little feather in the corner and a big swirl in the center  not sure about the sashing and borders yet

 this is my progress on modern mylee you really cant see the quilting from the front below

I did mark the centers with my water soluble pen so they all had the same amt. of rings
I am hoping to finish the quilting today before I have to leave for work

progress one more row on the log cabin and my stars are almost finished sew the 4 corners square up and sew into a star all the fabric

 for the stars I got in padukah  at hancocks and the log cabin cream I already had and the fall is a honey bun of  harvest moon
